LEVEL is a hardcore punk project I started in the winter of 2017. On 06/30/2017, I released Level’s debut Mini Storage Demo in collaboration with Producer Derek Zuk. I  performed all instrumental and lead vocal tracks at Staple Mills’ Mini Storage in West Henrico County.

MINI STORAGE DEMO contains four songs that celebrate straight edge punk culture. Transformation Affirmation and Skate Wax America are lyrically critical of the self-destructive intoxicant abuse  and escapism commonly found among artists and musicians.

The final track, Capiche?, continues this line of criticism but replaces the optimistic spirit present in the beginning of the demo with an aggressive and confrontational tone.

Couched within the the track listing of self-assured and unapologetic punk anthems is xSavingxThrowx, a candid depiction of my trials and revelations in the infancy of my sobriety. Underlying the desperate expressions of fear and longing in the lyrics of the third track is a sense of gratitude inspired by my demonstrated ability to recognize my own shortcomings and enact positive change for myself.
